Marshal’s Office in Szczecin

The design of the new Marshal’s Office building in Szczecin consolidates the currently dispersed departments. The project is located in the city center, adjacent to one of the main urban axes, Aleja Wyzwolenia. The project includes an extension and superstructure of the existing building and a connection to the newly designed facility via an underground parking garage within the city block.

In keeping with the investor’s leitmotif of naturalness, the architectural form of the new building, with its restrained expression and flexibility appropriate to functional requirements, is emphasized by the introduction of fluid, organic corners. The interior layout is centered around a spacious atrium covered by a glass skylight. The interior design utilizes natural materials to create a maximally friendly and comfortable office work environment, and the designed spaces, adapted for future educational paths, will encourage meetings and the free exchange of ideas. The design incorporates a range of installation solutions that contribute to sustainable construction. The building is BREEAM certified and certified by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt.
